Tattoo Aftercare Instructions- Always follow your Tattoo Artists aftercare advise ... Your Artist will be knowledgeable in how their tattoos heal best, and they will tell you the amount of times to wash daily according to saturation levels and placement.
- When washing your new tattoo use the palm of your hand and do not apply heavy pressure. Do not use any type of rag or exfoliating device to wash your new tattoo. You will want to continue washing until there is no more 'gooey' feel ( this 'gooey' material is your plasma and a natural response by the body to the tattoo process, cleaning it off thoroughly will allow your tattoo to heal quicker and with less complications. ( HEAL by Vaughn Ara actively helps to eliminate this phase and expedite healing. ) - Dry your new tattoo using a paper towel or clean disposable cloth, do not use a used bath towel or dirty cloth to dry. *Pro tip... keep a roll of paper towels near your shower during the healing phase and pack clean paper towels in a portable bag if you are out during the day. - Make sure you apply only a thin layer of Heal Aftercare Salve as to avoid suffocating hair follicles as hair grows back from being shaven at the beginning of your tattoo. If after 15 mins, and once the salve has absorbed, should you still feel tightness you may apply an additional light layer. - When applying HEAL tattoo salve make sure to use clean and dry hands. *More pro tips.... - Change your bed sheets before sleeping, especially if you have animals. - Do not expose a healing tattoo to sun, this can cause damage and very difficult healing. - If you are in an environment where you come into physical contact with others, use caution and keep your tattoo covered with a layer of loose clothing. - Postpone the gym for a week to make sure tattoo stays free from excess fungus and bacteria. - Avoid all bodies of water. Lakes, pools, etc. as this can result in infection. Avoid soaking in bath water as well until healed. Hope this helps and if you have further questions, please contact your Tattoo Artist. |
